OUR MISSION

Pony World Theater is an ensemble of artists who create playful and evocative performances that engage audiences in meaningful questions.  We combine striking visuals, elastic realities, and boundless imagination into uncommon narratives.

OUR CHARTER

  • The world as we currently know it needs to be broken. The right story at the right time can break it.

  • We tell stories that capitalize on theatre's unique and exceptional qualities.

  • Our work will be economically accessible to everyone.

  • We are an ensemble inside and outside the rehearsal room. As a company we choose our programming and plan our future.

  • We pledge to be an anti-racist organization, and endeavor to prevent harm, reduce harm, and repair relationships when harm has been committed.

  • We embrace the importance of inclusive casting and representing a diversity of voices.

  • In the rehearsal room, each artist’s voice is important.

  • We explore an idea to its fullest potential and truest essence.

  • Our plays balance strong visuals and strong narratives.

  • We value poetry, theatricality, and imagination.

OUR NAME

Our name, Pony World, references a point in the creative process when anything is still possible—when everyone can have their own pony.  By infusing our entire process with this spirit, the company strives to create theatre that delights as it reveals, excites as it transforms.
